Taiwan Explores Day 20-21: Christmas~

It sucks when you are dying to pee but have to wait for the toilet.... Why is there only one toilet in this house?! Ahhhh. So I shall write a blog post as I wait I'm bladder-bursting agony.

Its cold and drizzling everyday over here in Taiwan. First actual COLD christmas I have ever experienced! Can't wait to go europe a few years later to experience a white christmas though! that would be soooo cold! ahhhh my unfulfilled childhood dreams of building my very own snowman with a carrot nose... and sleighing down a snow mountain~~ Its getting so cold that Angela and I decided to buy some heat packs. Heat packs are so awesome when you hand is cold! <3 Its quite amazing how I haven't fall sick even though I'm braving the rain everyday with a mere hoodie. It's really too trouble to hold on to ANOTHER umbrella when you are fumbling with the fur coat. It's like:

Wears fur coat as I walk down the cold street > enters a mall/shop and it starts to get too warm> takes out coat> leave shop and start to feel coat again... OTL I don't know how Taiwanese bear with this! My arms get so sore from holding on to my fur coat, but my body gets so hot when I'm wearing 3 layers-.- Singapore weather is the best after all. No variety in seasons but heck! I just want to stop fumbling over jackets and coats man:/

Apparently in Taiwan, people still have to work and go to school... so i still have to report to work though it's xmas;( it's not really a big deal here I guess. Not many big xmas discount in shops or xmas greeting in workplace or anything for that matter. Nonetheless, I broke out of my usual work-go home to watch show routine, and went out with Angela these 2 days to celebrate Christmas~

On christmas eve, we went to Breeze theatre to watch "Frozen", a Disney animation. Im a big fan of all cartoon movies and Disney productions so ^.^  As we waited for the movie to start, we roamed around zhongxiao fuxing but the stuff were too expensive. Chanel and LV every street:/

-spoiler alert-

Frozen is a really good movie:3 My heart wept when the first daughter (cant remember the name sorry. bad with names or titles) had to suffer alone. She had to keep the secret to herself. When her little sister sang to her about building a snowman, she could only hide in her snowing room alone. sobs T_T I really love the reindeer in the show!!! It's so cuteeee~~~ Overall, the movie is very cheesy and somewhat predictable. Angela would mumble out "ooooo chessy!!" at certain parts of the show. I would predict what happens to Angela and it would always (80% of the time) happen. LOL. Nonetheless, its a funny and nice movie to watch.

After the movie, I went home to get started in my PowerPoint slides for my classes at beixin elementary school. Time flew by and it was 12.30am-.- I didn't even get to do my running man nightly ritual.

The next day, in Xmas day, I went to wufenpu and Raohe night market with Angela Yuen. I had gotten angela a nice xmas gift... but I forgot to bring it out in the morning cuz of sleepiness x.x I didn't buy much stuff as it wasn't very cheap and most of the clothes were long sleeved. -had enough of long sleeve shirts- I didn't want to take the risk of getting another seemingly thin long sleeve shirt that actually is very warm when worn.

Had this really awesome crepe at raohe. Highly recommended! High quality brownies inside (sorry for bad lighting)

On the mrt back home, I had a good chat with Angela about hidden potentials. We were like saying how our brains shut down when there are people bringing us around. Therefore we would completely fail in navigation of roads or remembering street signs. However when we are roaming the streets alone at Taiwan, we are forced to remember street and really use google maps to navigate. (I remember the good times in Hong Kong when I just shut my brain down and follow my sister. She got mad at my laziness/uselessness). People seem to think Angela and I would get lost , get mugged or something in Taiwan because of our blurness all the time. But I assure you, its because we trust the people we are with enough to turn off our brains. We are completely fine on our own in Taiwan equipped with the all reliable google maps :3

"A baby bird will fly (or at least flap it's wings hard enough to survive) if it is forced to" --- quotes from Jojo XD

The shower is free now. Time to bathe,
Jojo

P.S Going to taoyuan road trip with workplace colleagues on Monday! Excited~~~ ponning class at beixin elementary woots!
