At "Love from the stars" Exhibition
At 4Dmax
We had some translation issues. While the menu item were in English, the additional notes were in Korean so we had a hard time figuring out if we could upgrade items from a combo set.
"Combo set 3, upgrade to cheese popcorn pls"
-question mark face from counter lady-
" chezu popu-kon"
-???-
"Kom neun cheezu .. (I ended up reading out the hangul words"
- finally got the part about cheese popcorn but the total amount was wrong. Turns out she gave us the wrong combo set-
" combo 3!! * fingers the sign 3*"
- finally understands and started prepared our combo set and we saw her preparing hotdogs-
" no no not hotdogs, we want pizza"
....
So after much talking she finally got her manager who could speak abit of Chinese to help us. In the end, after much trouble, we got our order:) the counter lady was like "sorry sorry!" And I was like "kwenchana! Okok!"
The cheese popcorn and the pizza was heavenly, so it was worth the trouble! So we went into the theatre to walk "Dawn of the planet of apes" in 4D (meaning 3D glasses and the seat can move and spray stuff out at you one)
All was great. the chair sprays some perfume to imitate the jungle environment; moves up and down like you are the main character. when the character kenna stab, we also feel it. EXCEPT...
THE CHARACTERS (apes) WERE SPEAKING APE LANGUAGE! With bunch of "ooh oohh ohh"s. then the subtitle was IN KOREAN!! X.x so the whole time we were like ??? And fell asleep at the portion where the monkeys were speaking to each other. When the chair started swirling, we knew it was action scenes then we woke up. It was like a cool massaging experience.
Morale of the story: the experience of 4Dmax was good. But next time choose the right movie!!!
At Dongdaemun
Dongdaemun was like a shopping haven! there was malls after malls after malls!! We only went to one mall and had spent $170 on that first mall.
Legs forever suan,
